Weekly Specials & Yearly Experiences

A young girl with curly hair and a pink long-sleeve shirt sits cross-legged on the floor in a classroom while raising her hands above her head in a Yogi pose. Other children are nearby, also participating, and a teacher or instructor is leading the activity.

Stretch-N-Grow
(Thursdays & Fridays)

Every Friday morning, Coach Beth leads 30 minutes of fun, active learning that helps children build gross motor skills, strength, and healthy habits. Through games, movement, and fitness activities, kids stay active while learning about nutrition and taking care of their bodies. Please remember to wear appropriate shoes for a safe and energetic session!

Field Trip

Throughout the year, students will enjoy a variety of field trips that bring learning to life! Some trips are short walks around Tonganoxie, like visiting the fire station, while others take us to exciting off-site destinations, such as Cider Hills Orchard. Please note that for off-site trips, families are responsible for transportation, as Tonganoxie Early Prep does not provide bus service.

Spring & Christmas Programs

Throughout the year, Tonganoxie Early Prep students have opportunities to share their learning and joy through music during special seasonal programs. In December, children participate in a Christmas program that celebrates the birth of Jesus and God’s love, sharing songs they’ve practiced together as part of their faith journey. Each April, students also perform during a combined church service at TUMC, delighting the congregation with music that reflects their growth and accomplishments over the year.

May Graduation

Each May, our children moving on to Kindergarten celebrate their accomplishments in a special Graduation ceremony. Students sing songs, receive diplomas and awards, and share a joyful moment with their classmates, teachers, and families.
